Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: BamHI, BglII, EcoRI, EcoRV, HindIII, MspI, PstI, TaqI. Tested against the X chromosome of 40 Sardinian males. |
Comments |
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.7, 1.05, 0.25, 0.1; BamHI--4.7; EcoRI--4.7; AvaI--2.9, 1.7, 0.2. Recorded as not polymorphic by Collaborative Research, meaning either not polymorphic in 0.8% agarose gels, or difficult to work with. The SstI polymorphism has been mapped to the X chromosome and has been studied in 15 families. The insert contains an internal PstI site which results in two fragments, 1000 bp pAX-7-1 and 300 bp pAX-7-2. For EcoRI digested human DNA, pAX-7-1 hybridizes with 4 fragments and pAX-7-2 hybridizes with only 2 fragments. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: BamHI, BglII, EcoRI, EcoRV, HindIII, MspI, PstI, SacI, TaqI. For chromosomes 12, 18, and 21 of 15 Sardinian males. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: BamHI, BglII, EcoRI, EcoRV, HindIII, MspI, PstI, TaqI. Tested against the X chromosome of 40 Sardinian males. |
